Description
Support and administer software solutions for the City; perform technical support for public safety applications, financial and HR applications, utility applications, tax and collection applications, work order management applications, permitting applications, and others. Duties are performed under the general direction of the Division Director of Application Solutions.
Essential Functions
The essential functions of the job are not limited to those listed in the job description. The City retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
- Provides entry level support for application solutions by; writing customized reports, testing, installing and upgrading systems; providing training as needed to system users; collaborating with users to assess and analyze user requests; working with SQL, troubleshooting, and resolving tickets.
- Provides entry level technical support for application solutions by; communicating with vendors and clients on issues and enhancements; analyzing and assessing problems in application solutions; analyzing business processes and making recommendations for improvements; and by escalating issues and requests when necessary.
- Performs entry level routine tasks for application solutions by; unlocking user accounts and resetting passwords; adding new user accounts; disabling separated employee accounts; maintaining and updating user security; performing daily system administration; performing regular Windows updates; and by configuring application solutions to fulfill client needs and requirements while maintaining established security protocols.
- Collaborates with staff by; attending all staff meetings; participating in project teams; coordinating and attending regular user group meetings; and completing all work assignments effectively and efficiently.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES
- Attends meetings and training sessions.
- Performs additional duties to support operational requirements as assigned
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, with equivalent knowledge of a specific vocational, administrative, or technical nature from college, vocational, business, or technical school.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the specific requirements listed above
Certifications/Licenses
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record according to City criteria
