SUMMER Recreation Program Supervisor
Performs intermediate paraprofessional and administrative work in planning, coordination, promotion, implementation and supervision of a variety of recreation programs and/or activities to include parks, playgrounds, recreation centers, and camp programs. May require weekend, holiday and evening work.
SUMMER Recreation Leader
Assists the Recreation Program Supervisor with planning, coordinating, implementing, and supervising a wide variety of programs, camps, activities, and events. Must have valid Driver’s License.
Athletics Recreation Leader - Supervises athletic fields, parks or other assigned recreation facilities; maintains all established safety measures, provides first aid, issues and enforces rules and regulations and interprets guidelines; maintains equipment security; sets-up facility for public use and clean up for programs, rentals and athletic events; opens, closes and secures building/facility and keys; completes reports. May require weekend, holiday and evening work.
Special Recreation Leader (Therapeutic Recreation) Lead activities at Camp Grove Therapeutic Recreation Center for individuals ages five to adulthood with impairments: arts/crafts, games, cooking and activities in aquatic settings. Excellent interaction skills required. Will need to be capable of learning to drive a City Van.
Community Recreation Leaders This position will plan, direct, lead and safely facilitate a variety of specialized activities, programs, camps and events. Staff is responsible for overseeing all camp activities, safety and adhering to industry standards. Assists Program Coordinator plan, setup and implement a variety of activities and tasks. Prefer certifications in First Aid and CPR. This position will lead specialized activities in camp and program settings with a focus on youth 5-12 years old. Working in the following areas:
- Park Programs Focuses on park programs such as the Fun Wagon and Rec Mobile visiting neighborhoods and parks across the city to deliver recreation services. This position includes driving a van and setting up equipment. Requires weekend, holiday and evening work.
- Outdoor Adventure Camp Plan, organize and lead daily camp activities to include teambuilding, outdoor crafts, kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing and hiking/camping trips for mixed aged campers.
- Summer Day Camp Plans and leads recreation activities at Coates and Camp Grove Recreation Center. Creates, develops and implements activities focused on 5–12-year-olds and assist with transportation as needed.
Public Service Worker
Park Maintenance Public Service Worker (Park Maintenance Laborer) Conduct general maintenance of City parks, playgrounds and outdoor athletic facilities to include mowing, trimming, litter pick-up, ballfield preparation and some custodial duties. Must be able to drive and operate machinery. May require weekend, holiday and evening work.
Salary : $31,404 - $54,956
