Perform maintenance on buildings and grounds at the Danville Regional Airport and Mass Transit facilities; cut grass; remove snow from assigned areas; replace lights and signs at the airport, spray pesticides for weeds; and maintain the Danville Transit Transfer Center, bus stop locations, and the mass transit administrative maintenance facility.

Maintains airport facilities by cutting grass, brush and slope mowing; mulching; clearing runways and taxiways of debris; performing custodial duties; checking runway lights; performing maintenance on T hangers; removing snow; answering phones. Provides security at transportation facilities by checking grounds and gates daily. Maintains mass transit facilities on Spring Street and the transit garage; and replaces and removes bus stop signs, cuts grass and paints the bus stop curbs.ADDITIONAL DUTIES Performs housekeeping duties by maintaining work space for safe and health working conditions. Attends meetings and training sessions. Performs additional duties to support operational requirements as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Medium physical effort, exerting 20-50 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10 lbs. constantly. Constant standing; adequate vision, hearing, talking to use computer, telephone and communicate effectively with others, and to maintain operational awareness of surroundings. Frequent sitting, lifting, walking, carrying, pushing/pulling, reaching, bending, twisting, balancing, crouching. Occasional kneeling, crawling, climbing. Rare handling, fine dexterity.NON-PHYSICAL DEMANDS Responsible for appropriate use and maintenance of City equipment, tools and other resources, including work time. Regular and predictable attendance is expected. Frequently experiences a frequent change of tasks, performing multiple tasks simultaneously. May occasionally experience time pressure, working closely with others as part of a team, tedious or exacting work.
