What are the responsibilities and job description for the 2025 Summer/Seasonal Day Camp Counselor position at City of De Pere?
Supervise campers during the course of the day, including field trips, swimming, and implementing indoor/outdoor activities.
Work Locations: West Side - De Pere Community Center and East Side - TBD.
Schedule: Shifts can vary. Monday - Friday; Typically, 6:45 a.m. - 12:45 p.m., 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., 12:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.; 25- 35 hours/week.
West Side Camp
June 9 - August 15, 2025. In-service will be scheduled prior to the first day of camp.
East Side Camp
June 3 - August 8, 2025. In-service will be scheduled prior to the first day of camp.

- Help write and implement weekly plans for your camp group related to the week's theme.
- Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities daily.
- Identify and respond to camper behavior issues.
- Participate in swimming and in-house/off-site field trips.
- Communicate with parents, maintain good PR with building staff.
- Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports, logbook documentation and daily attendance.
- Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with camp program. Know, enforce and follow all safety guidelines associated with camp and program areas. This includes but is not limited to being responsible for campers' safety and their whereabouts at all times.
- Enthusiastic and motivated personality.
- Ability to work well with school age children.
- Be able to work as part of a team.
- At least 18 years of age.
- One year of college or technical school preferred. Education majors/teachers encouraged to apply.
- Experience working with school age children desired, planning games and group activities.
- Curriculum planning desired but not required.
