What are the responsibilities and job description for the P/T Athletics Score Keeper/Program Aide position at City of Deer Park, TX?
GENERAL PURPOSE
Score keep at scheduled games tournaments and league play scheduled by the Athletics Division. Documents player/ team incidents and accidents during game play. Operates scorebook, time clock or scoreboard.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
Works under the direct supervisions of Athletics/Aquatics Supervisor/Athletics Recreation Specialist who oversees Athletic sport leagues and event programs.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
Informs and enforces league sport rules during game play.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Will score keep and help maintain flow of the game by answering and clarifying any rule or interpretation of rules. Documents in scorebook and also operates scoreboard.
Assistance with administering first aide procedures to an injured participant, filling out necessary documentation and informing Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Course work in health and fitness and sport knowledge, coaching, first aid and CPR certificates desirable. Work experience all age groups in a recreational setting a plus.
Knowledge of determining athlete fatigue and injury.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
CPR Certification a Plus
First Aid Certification Required.
