JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision of the Chief of Police, responsible for processing of major crime scenes, as well as maintaining the integrity of evidence. The purpose of this position is to collect and process evidence related to crimes. The position is responsible for collecting, processing, safeguarding, and presenting evidence, preparing reports, and administrative duties. The position will work under general supervision to perform work as outlined; develop work methods and sequences. This position provides 24-hour service to the community by rotating schedules, which includes working weekends, holidays, and overtime when required by operational necessity.
This is a part time (29 hours per week, no benefits) grant funded position. Continued employment is contingent upon continuation of grant funding.
