Advanced store work in a warehouse, ordering, stocking, and charging-out of inventory items. Work is performed under general supervision.
Essential Job Duties
- Perform warehouse stocking level management duties, i.e., stock level analysis, analyze items needed for stock, order items for stock, prepare reports, and obtain quotations, computer system management and warehouse location analysis.
- Receive items into warehouse and check condition.
- Issue warehouse items to users.
- Order inventory items from various vendors.
- Perform regular inventory audits
- Access, input and retrieve information from the computer.
- Assist with the implementation of Utilities Asset Management program
- Test and repair water meters using a Test Bench or Meter Field Tester to ensure the accurate operation of water meters.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
- At least three (3) years’ experience in store-keeping.
- Experience in a municipal and/or central warehouse.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, especially Excel.
Preferred Qualifications and Requirements:
- Knowledge and ability to work with databases such as MS Access, SQL, … etc.
LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS:
- Valid State of Florida Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
Knowledge of inventory systems (receiving, stocking and distributing). Ability to work with numbers (add, subtract, multiply and divide). Ability to communicate in writing and verbal. Ability to access, input and retrieve information from the computer
