What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Worker - Parks position at City of Denison?
Performs field work related to parks maintenance, recreational activities and special events.

- Assists field crews with maintenance and repairs of parks, including landscaping, equipment repairs, athletic facilities, turf management issues, and addresses safety issues.
- Operates hand tools, weed eaters, mowers, and other various equipment types used for division.
- Maintains all equipment, vehicles, tools, etc. in proper, safe, and clean working order.
- Maintains and repairs picnic tables, fences, benches, trash cans, walkways, playground equipment and other park items.
- Performs the job in a safe manner and in compliance with policies, procedures, work and safety rules and the employee handbook.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of safe operation and maintenance of tools, equipment and facility systems.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Skill in organizational and time management to prioritize duties to accomplish a high volume of work product while adapting to constant changes in priority.
- Ability to understand and effectively carry out local policies and procedures; written instructions, general correspondence, and Federal, State, and local regulations.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS- Must have high school diploma.
- Must have valid driver's license.
- Must have driving record sufficient for coverage by City’s auto liability carrier.

Salary : $36,400 - $45,864
