DUTIES
- Supervises assigned staff, perform administrative duties at the front desk, including but not limited to, providing phone, electronic and face-to-face support to customers, booking parties and rentals, and preparing reports.
- Reconcile all cashier deposits, count, and verify the change fund, and balance cash drawers at the end of each shift.
- Respond to and resolve customer issues and requests in a courteous and professional manner; notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve customer concerns.
- Complete deposits and perform cash handling responsibilities including but not limited to, opening and closing procedures for guest service staff .
- Assist manger with scheduling staff and monitoring facility staff operating costs.
- Assist with maintaining cleanliness and organization of all admissions areas including but not limited to, entryway, front desk, and admissions office.
- Serve as a cashier, as needed.
- Assist with selection, training, supervising, and evaluating staff; recommend assignment/assignment change, retention, discipline, and dismissal.

- Two (2) years’ experience in high volume cash handling, customer service, or related field; and,
- Three (3) months of supervisory experience in customer service,

- Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

- Must have and maintain a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state required minimum automobile liability insurance within 90 days of hire per state law).
- Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check, and social security number verification.
- Must pass a physical examination.
- Must be able to complete the City of Denton Cash Handling Training by the designated timeframe outlined for program.
- Must be at least seventeen (17) years of age.
- Must acquire job specific certifications as determined by program.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties including lifting and climbing; operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions in work area and/or any conditions that are not immediately correctable to supervisor.

- Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals; cash registers, safe, calculator, and 10-key adding machines.
- Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; occasional stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.
- Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.
- Lifting: Lifting no more than 50 pounds and carrying no more than 25 pounds.
- Environment: Works inside and outside with exposure to inclement weather, climate-controlled environment, noise, debris, odor, and chemicals; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.
- Travel: Travels to City of Denton buildings and professional meetings as required.
- Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position.
- Must be able to work overtime or outside of normal business hours, as required.
- Must be available for position trainings during the designated timeframe outlined for program.
- Must be able to work the designated summer seasonal program schedule, dates will adjust annually, Sunday – Saturday, 7 days per week with shift times varying between 7:00 am and 12:00 am (midnight).
- Must work the Citywide special event, date will adjust annually.
- Must be able to complete the City of Denton Cash Handling Training by the designated timeframe outlined for program.
- Must be able to work on a rotating schedule seven (7) days per week.
