What are the responsibilities and job description for the Street Superintendent Public Works Department position at City of DeRidder?
DUTIES: As the Street Superintendent for the PWD you will be required to manage and monitor the work performance of the street department employees. This includes hiring and disciplinary action and also maintain time sheet for the employees. You will oversee construction projects and ensure compliance with safety regulations, utilizing your supervisory experience and work cohesively the Director of Public Works. You will be required to maintain daily operations of the street department and crew to include all City streets, drainage, parks, grass cutting operations and perform other duties as assigned. Work requires team building, organization, decision making and the ability to coordinate projects.
EXPERIENCE: High School graduate preferred. Must have previous supervisory experience. Should have previous experience in construction work. Should be computer literate with some knowledge of Word.
EQUALIFICATIONS: Applicant must have a valid Louisiana Class E driver’s license.
