Distinguishing Features of the Class
Under direction to perform inspection services on a wide range of non-complex municipal construction projects; performs directly related work as required.
Assignment Departments : Engineering or Parks and Recreation
Approximate employment duration : This is a 6-9 month assignment. Employment period is between April and October; 40 plus hours per week; Monday-Saturday.
Acceptable Experience and Training
- Graduation from High School or possession of a GED; and
- Some experience in public works andor building trades construction; OR
- Any equivalent combination of related education and training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work.
- Prior experience in civil engineering technology and / or public improvement construction such as street paving, sewer construction or other related public improvement construction is preferred.
