2025 Camp Season
Work up to 40 hours per week from June 2-August 1
- With the possibility to work Extended Camp Weeks through August 8
Typical working hours during camp season are Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, but may vary slightly
Mandatory All Staff Training Dates : May 27-31 (PAID!)

Duties of Camp Counselors include, but are not limited to :
Working With Campers
Counselors are directly responsible for the supervision and safety of their campersResponsible for the safety and well-being of campers at all times
Plan, lead, supervise and provide ongoing assistance to campers with outdoor and indoor recreational activitiesImplement safety guidelines and conduct all activities in the safest manner possibleServe as a positive role model for all campers, staff and parents in your attitude and behaviorDemonstrate appropriate behavior to camp participants, camp parents and co-workers
Follow and uphold all safety rules and proceduresStrive for inclusion of all camp participants in all scheduled activitiesInteract with campers, staff and parents in a fair and positive mannerManage camper behavior in an age-appropriate way to achieve camp objectives
Stay alert to campers needs and assist them with personal and / or health problemsWork cooperatively with other camp counselors, supervisors, and fulltime city of Dublin staff to create a safe and enjoyable camp experience that keep campers involved and having funCreate and maintain group unity by making everyone feel a part of the groupDevelop individual campers' independence, self-esteem and peer relationships in the summer camp environmentAssist campers in adjusting to the camp environment and to each other

Minimum Qualifications

At least one year of college in recreation, education, or related field OR two or more years work experience in a recreation related fieldGeneral knowledge of camp and / or recreation programsExperience managing or working with students in any settingPhysical Requirements
