The Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) is more than just an exercise facility; it is a centralized hub and resource for the residents of Dublin and nearby communities. Group Fitness Instructors play an integral role in the preparation and instruction of various fitness/wellness classes at the DCRC.
NOTE: We are currently seeking applicants interested in running small group fitness classes.

Examples of Duties
Under the direction of the Fitness Coordinator and Group Fitness Specialist, the successful candidates' responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Enforcing class sign-in policies
- Conducting safe, effective and fun classes in many formats
- Following national safety guidelines
- Attending staff meetings
- Obtaining necessary CECs to maintain certification
- Monitoring the use of all equipment and returning it to its place after class
- Providing support, information, and qualified instruction to participants
- Abiding by all policies and guidelines in the Fitness Instructor Manual
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Current certification through a nationally recognized fitness organization
- Possession of current Industry certification (ACE, AFFA, ACSM)
- At least one (1) year experience in leading group exercise classes
- Current certification in American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to effectively and courteously communicate with the public
- Ability to teach a variety of class formats
- Ability to customize a class format to a particular group's needs
- Knowledge of current industry standards, trends and a desire to continue education
- The applicant must successfully complete an entrance audition

- The City maintains the cost of team member certifications and training time is paid ($40.00-$100.00 value). All certifications achieved belong to the team member.

Salary : $40 - $100
