Do you enjoy attending the Dublin Irish Festival, the Independence Day Celebration and Dublin’s other signature events? Join the City of Dublin’s Community Events Team this summer and learn about the behind the scenes planning it takes to coordinate and execute these award-winning events. Under the supervision of the Events Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide specialized support in preparation for the City of Dublin's signature summer events.
Scheduling/Availability
- This is a seasonal position that works from approximately May 1-August 15
- Successful candidates must be available to work July 4 and August 1-4

Successful candidates are expected to be available to work 32-40 hours per week
- Please note that working hours may be longer during event weeks

Successful candidates must have the ability to work long hours during special event operations
- Please note that event hours may occur outside of normal business hours including nights, weekends and holidays

Examples of Duties
Examples of duties include, but are not limited to:
- Create, print, organize and install event signs, banners and graphics
- Coordinating small independent projects, on and off site
- Oversee on-site set up, placement and inventory management of all event signage
- During events, responsible for making sure areas are safe and have the required equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot assigned area(s) and make independent decisions
- Communicate daily, in a timely and professional manner, with staff and the public
Typical Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Proficient with computers, printers/plotters and Microsoft Office
- Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects with various deadlines
- Organized, driven and able to work independently, as well as on a team
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator
- Ability to withstand long working hours
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat/adverse conditions
