The City of Dublin is accepting applications for team members with positive attitudes and initiative. A firefighter is needed for the Fire Department. Firefighters performs skilled duties in the suppression and prevention of fires and in the protection of life and property. Work involves training for and participating in combating, extinguishing and preventing fires which may often require strenuous physical exertion under adverse conditions such as flames, heat, chemical fumes, smoke or cramped surroundings. While firefighting is the most difficult and responsible area of activity, a major portion of time is spent in continued training in the skills and techniques of firefighting, in associated life rescue and equipment operation, and in the routine care and maintenance of firefighting equipment, apparatus, and departmental building and grounds. Work is performed under direct supervision of the shift supervisor.
