Under the direction of the Recreation Operations Supervisor, oversees and manages the operations, staffing, schedules, supply ordering and maintenance of the on-site babysitting room, the Hub/Teen center and gymnasium for the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC). Provides a high level of customer service when responding to customer inquiries and/or complaints.Given the nature of this classification’s duties/responsibilities, it has been designated as Non-Exempt under the governing Fair Labor Standards Act regulations and, therefore, is entitled to formal overtime compensation and/or formal compensatory time. Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises part-time/seasonal staff.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Leads in supervision of part-time/seasonal staff, including recruitment, development, certification, performance evaluation, scheduling, training and discipline. Responds to initial complaints or program issues with public and/or patrons; uses discretion when directing issues or complaints to appropriate supervisor or administrator. Oversees the operations of the gymnasium, including developing the gym schedule in collaboration with programmers and contractors, organizing open play times, and coordinating maintenance and repair of equipment.Makes program area-specific budget recommendations and administers a portion of the budget.Coordinates recreational programs, classes, and/or activities; evaluates programs, classes and activities utilizing feasibility assessments and recommends program changes; administers programs including scheduling of staff, equipment and supplies, facility and logistical planning.As part of the Operations team, the Coordinator is expected to maintain a working knowledge of Manager-on-Duty responsibilities and skills to assist in that role as needed.Ability to work a schedule, which includes evenings and weekends, as needed.Performs other related duties as assigned.
