Position Summary
JOB SUMMARY: Under direction of the Recreation Supervisor, will conduct recreation activities with groups in Adult Summer and Winter Volleyball Leagues, taking into account the needs and interests of individual members; supervise the operation of the Adult Summer and Winter Volleyball Leagues; and perform other duties as assigned.
Job Duties
JOB DUTIES:
- Serve as on-site coordinator/supervisor.
- Set-up and take down volleyball nets.
- Fill out score sheets for teams to keep score.
- Collect nightly scores and submit to Recreation Supervisor.
- Close and lock bathrooms each night.
- Maintain park and school cleanliness.
- Communicate with Recreation Supervisor regarding staff issues, volleyball complaints, and decisions made regarding the program or staff.
- Update the rain-out hotline.
- Interact with the public.
- Respond to patron comments, questions, and concerns.
- Administer first-aid to participants, calling for assistance if required.
- Enforce rules or regulations.
- Promote products, services, or programs.
- Explain regulations, policies, or procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Service Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge and background of volleyball rules/regulations.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings under extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.
