JOB SUMMARY: Conduct recreation activities with groups; organize and promote activities, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, music, dramatics, social recreation, and hobbies, taking into account the needs and interests of individual members.

JOB DUTIES:
- Attend pre-season program trainings and meetings; ongoing trainings and meetings throughout the season.
- Assist those with special personal care needs.
- Model positive behaviors.
- Enforce rules, ordinances and regulations; organizational policies and procedures; health and safety protocols; and accident reporting procedures.
- Promote products, services, and programs.
- Organize inclusive daily recreational activities and events; facility and supplies.
- Gather information in order to provide services to clients.
- Administer first aid.
- Demonstrate activity techniques and equipment use.
- Greet customers, patrons, or visitors.
- Communicate with Program Coordinator, management or other staff to resolve problems and situations.
- Contact Park Rangers and EMS for assistance or due to an emergency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services which includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Service Orientation - Looking for ways to help people.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with children of all ages and abilities.
- Knowledge of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives in education.
SUPERVISORY STATUS: Functional
WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is performed in an outdoor setting under extreme weather conditions including heat, cold, wind, rain, etc.
FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
