Essential Job Duties
What You’ll Do in This Role:
- Assist with a variety of administrative duties spanning all Parks & Recreation divisions.
- Communicate with and provide support to Parks & Recreation management staff to facilitate daily operations and administrative needs.
- Work closely with the Finance Department to send payments and process payments for third-party programs.
- Support the Business Operations Manager with cash handling, daily and monthly reporting, and troubleshooting.
- Handle Cemetery paperwork and coordinate with the County Clerk’s Office for official documentation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to the public and City staff.
- Welcome and assist visitors with professionalism, offering clear information, directions, and assistances.
- Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and via email.
- Utilize Parks & Recreation software (RecTrac) for data entry and management.
- Assist with general facility oversight and maintain office organization.
You Have:
- A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Possession of or the ability to obtain CPR/AED and First Aid Certificate.
- At least one year of customer service and administrative experience, including cash handling.
- Familiarity with RecTrac or similar Parks & Recreation software preferable.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of office procedures, cash handling, and basic accounting.
- Ability to operate a wide variety of office equipment, including computers, specialized software, cash registers, Microsoft 365, and more.
