The City of East Grand Forks Public Works Department is seeking a highly skilled Full Time Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our public works team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the city's fleet of vehicles and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city-owned vehicles and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with city vehicles and equipment
- Collaborate with other department staff to ensure seamless day-to-day operations
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associates/Technical degree in truck mechanics, auto and light truck mechanics, or related field
- Modest experience working on equipment and trucks, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Commercial driver's license (CDL)
