What are the responsibilities and job description for the Theater/Drama Instructor - All-of-us Express Children's Theater position at City of East Lansing?
The Drama Camp Instructor will oversee the planning and implementation of one or more All-of-us Express Children’s Theater (AECT) summer acting academies. This position will work under AECT Artistic Director (City’s staff) to teach the exploration of acting, improvisation, creative movement, voice, sound, and storytelling. The position will also teach elements of set design, stage makeup, costume craft, playwriting and/or play direction. In addition to teaching, the drama instructor responsibilities include: program planning, monitoring student behavior, setting up and implementing activities and communicating with parents. The instructor will also facilitate the students in developing a production, which is performed for friends and family on the final day of camp.

Qualifications
Must be 18.
Must be reliable and enjoy youth.
Possess the ability to instruct young people, ages 6-18.
Have a solid understanding of the creative theater process and have experience and/or education in this area.
Display strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Be committed to the creative development and the theatrical education of the participants.
