What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Leaf Vacuum Drivers (4) position at City of East Point?
This seasonal position will assist the City of East Point in the Leaf Vacuum Collection Program. The Leaf Vacuum Truck Driver will repot to the Public Works Building and Grounds Manager. Responsibilities include the proper disposal of the collected leaves and local transfer.- Operation and maintenance of the leaf vacuum truck.
- Performs other duties as assigned.Required:
- High School Diploma or the Equivalent
- Valid State of Georgia Driver's License with CDL Class B (Mandatory Requirement)
- Any equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job will be considered.
Preferred:
- At least one (1) year of driving and operating a large heavy duty truck
- Clean MVR driving record- Knowledge of City and department policies and procedures
- Skill in operating and driving diesel and hydraulic tandem dump trucks
- Knowledge of work zone safety techniques
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to exercise judgment to achieve results consistent with objectives
