POST-Certified Police Officer. The City of Edgewater is a city of approximately 5,000 residents nestled between the cities of Denver, Wheat Ridge, and Lakewood. Edgewater offers a unique small-town atmosphere within minutes of the downtown Denver area.

Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of police and investigative procedures, processes, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
- Extensive knowledge of criminal law and procedure.
- Ability to correctly and safely handle and operate weapons and police equipment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn investigative tools, applications, and software.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or related field preferred.
- Graduation from police academy required (Colorado POST certified)
