Job Summary :
The assistant controller is responsible for performing various financial functions including : processing and recording all assigned financial transactions (payable / receivables) in the general ledger; preparing monthly compilation of financial reports to monitor adherence to budget targets; preparing financial statements for senior management and government / regulatory agencies; preparing tax filings, and coordinating annual audit activities with external auditors.

- Compiles regular financial reports (budget variance reports, general ledger updates, etc.) to support management-level decision making regarding the Club's fiscal health.

Conditions of Employment :

c. Job Description Must have a current valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety with a satisfactory driving record.
d. May be requested to obtain a Class B driver's license with passenger endorsement.
e. Bilingual English / Spanish preferred.
Required Education : Bachelor's Degree
Education Preference :
Bachelor's Degree in finance, business and / or related
Educational Substitute :
Related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Work Experience :
Two (2) years' experience in related field
Experience Preference :
Three (3) years of experience in finance business and or related

a) Solid knowledge of finance concepts and practices
b) Strong documented and / or observable skills / characteristics in the following areas : prioritization and time management, problem solving, sound judgments, organizational and planning skills, interpersonal skills and ethics.
c) Proven success in establishing and maintaining finance relationships.
d) Must be creative, innovative, and flexible in the face of multiple and shifting priorities.
e) Excellent computer skills, literate in standard computerized accounting systems.
f) Must have own transportation.
g) Sensitive to the needs of youth / teens.
