BENEFITS & WELLNESS MANAGER

This Benefits & Wellness Manager position earns a competitive pay of $56,275.44 / year . A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A BENEFITS & WELLNESS MANAGER

As a Benefits & Wellness Manager, you spend your day planning, developing, implementing and administering employee benefits programs including group insurance products, retirement plans, and other benefits. Your work typically involves preparing annual cost analysis of benefit programs and future cost projections. Your job is essential to the city, you are responsible for coordinating and implementing City-wide wellness initiatives / activities / events. When you aren't out in the city, you assist the Department Director in working with vendors, insurers, and other service providers to acquire competitive rates and services. You are constantly on your toes and ready for any new and unexpected challenges that may arise in the city. You enjoy being helpful and have no problem providing assistance and support to the department as needed. The city needs someone like you with great people skills, problem solving skills, and finds genuine enjoyment in what you do!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A BENEFITS & WELLNESS MANAGER

  • Bachelor's Degree in human resources, public administration, business administration or related field.

Preferred : Master's Degree in related field, certification in Human Resources Benefits preferred

  • Education Substitute : Related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Requires three (3) years of experience in Human Resources Administration and / or Benefits Administration.
  • Preferred : Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources Administration and / or Benefits.

  • Three (3) years of experience as a supervisor or oversight of a group of employees.
  • Must have a current and valid class "C" driver's license from the Texas Department of Public Safety
  • Bilingual English / Spanish required.

  • Applicant must take and pass a pre-employment drug test administered by the City of Edinburg at the City's expense.
