Customer Service Clerk

Under the supervision of the City Clerk, the Customer Service Clerk is primarily responsible for incoming customer service request and the oversight of the City’s utility billing service. This position would monitor accounts, update new customers, calculate rates based on the current City fee schedule, and generally manage the process of billing customers and collecting payment. Other accounts receivable activity may involve parks & recreation registration, permits, etc. The position would also be responsible for maintaining bookings at the Edwardsville Community Center and Edwardsville City Park. This position will also be responsible for the oversight of the cemetery. This position may also be responsible for other duties as assigned related to accounts payable/receivable for City Hall administration.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required at the time of hire or for the continuation of employment. Requires the possession of a valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
