The City of El Cerrito, CA is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious individual to fill the role of Van Operations Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our passenger vans and buses, while providing exceptional customer service and promoting a positive image of our organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate the scheduling and routing of passenger vans and buses, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services.
- Assist passengers in and out of the vehicle, providing physical support as needed, while maintaining a safe and respectful environment.
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections, perform basic maintenance, and ensure cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.
- Compile and prepare dispatch notes, accident reports, and other trip statistics, accurately recording important details.
Requirements
- Possession of a valid Class B California driver's license with passenger endorsements, a satisfactory driving record, and a properly registered and insured vehicle.
- First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications from the American Red Cross or equivalent agency, maintained throughout employment.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, responding as a Disaster Services Emergency Worker when necessary.
