What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Golf Shop Attendant position at City of Elgin, IL?
CLASSIFICATION DESCRIPTION
Will be responsible for serving the Pro Shop patrons, maintaining the Pro Shop and assist with activity coordination with patrons.
GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK
GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK:
- Daily cash handling typical of clerk duties
- Maintain merchandise presentation
- Direct outside staff to prepare for patrons activities
- Coordinate daily on course event activity for patrons
- Monitor pace of play and cart fleet via global positioning system
- Perform reservation functions with customers via phone or on-line
- Other misc. duties as directed
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and patrons
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Able to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends
- Customer service oriented individual
- Able to lift 20 lbs on a regular basis
- Valid Illinois driver’s license required
- Knowledge of golf helpful

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Hours: Varies; hours of golf operation, to include weekend and holiday hours.Approximately 25 to 35 hours per week during the golf season.
