CLASSIFICATION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for creating a positive and welcoming environment for our guests and maintaining a safe and clean pool area.
GENERAL DEFINITION AND CONDITIONS OF WORK
- This position reports to the Facility Supervisor and Aquatic Supervisor.
- Greet all guests with a positive attitude as they enter the facility.
- Responsible for cash control at the admissions desk; collect and properly record all cash, check and charge transactions, and complete the daily cash balance sheet at the end of each shift.
- Answer all incoming phone calls and follow through on calls or transfer calls to the appropriate person or location.
- Provide general information on Parks & Recreation activities and facilities.
- Provide great customer service to patrons on deck, in the concession stand and at the admissions desk.
- Maintain a positive public image and attitude with good public relations.
- Wear appropriate staff uniform at all times.
- Attend all staff meetings.
- Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual.
- Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Minimum 15 years of age
- Demonstrates proficiency in basic math skills
- Ability to handle money in receiving and returning
- Ability to work pleasantly with patrons and co-workers
- Ability to enforce all rules and policies in a diplomatic manner
- Ability to handle prolonged periods of time in the sun/outdoors
- Must obtain CPR/First Aid certification by 05/31/2024
- Must pass drug and background checks
