We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Paramedic to join our emergency medical services team in Ellendale. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pre-hospital emergency care and transportation to patients in critical situations.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency calls and provide immediate medical assistance to patients.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine the nature and extent of injuries or illnesses.
- Administer appropriate emergency medical treatment, including airway management, venipuncture, and critical care interventions.
- Safely transport patients to hospitals or trauma centers, ensuring their comfort and stability during transit.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers, including those at Level I Trauma Centers, to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of treatments provided during emergencies.
- Operate emergency medical equipment and vehicles safely while adhering to all regulations and protocols.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with advancements in emergency medicine.
Requirements:
- Valid Paramedic certification from an accredited program.
- Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of critical care practices and protocols.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during patient transport and care.
- Proficiency in venipuncture techniques and airway management skills.
- Experience working in a hospital setting or with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
