Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the City of Ellensburg. As a key member of our Street Operations department, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of City streets, sidewalks, and rights of way.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as graders, rollers, and excavators to perform maintenance and repair work on City streets, sidewalks, and rights of way.
- Maintain and repair streets, alleys, and shoulders, including asphalt paving, patching, and crack fill; pavement paint striping and marking; grading and laying gravel.
- Assist with tree trimming and removal to ensure safe access to roads, pathways, sidewalks, and signs.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including greasing and cleaning, to ensure proper operation.
