The City of Ellensburg is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. This full-time position involves performing semi-skilled and skilled maintenance work, operating various equipment for construction, maintenance, repair, and replacement of City streets, sidewalks, and rights of way.
Essential Functions
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently to perform maintenance and repair work on City streets, sidewalks, and rights of way.
- Maintain and repair streets, alleys, and shoulders, including asphalt paving, patching, and crack fill; pavement paint striping and marking; grading and laying gravel.
- Assist with special events, such as parades and festivals, by installing and removing signs and other necessary equipment.
