POSITION SUMMARY
Serves to support the Events Supervisor in completing duties related to the event process, including venue setup/teardown, client services, and event representative. Involvement in each of these duties will vary. Client services duties will be performed while working directly with event clients to ensure a positive experience from start to finish. During the event, will serve as support to the Event team. Weekends and evenings will be required. This is a part-time, non-exempt position.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Delivers excellent guest services. Handles guest inquiries requiring event assistance. Assists in the implementation of guest and staff safety, emergency, and security procedures.
- Assists with assigned special events.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the services offered and facilities at Englewood Events.
- Communicate and engage with vendors via phone, email, and on-site.
- Assist the Special Events team with event management duties during peak season.
- Utilizes applicable software programs, including guest registration software, point-of-sale management, communications ticket system, time and attendance, and standard communication and office software.
Day of Event Duties
- Open and close venues per event guidelines. Event days shifts can range from 3-12 hours (with breaks)
- Direct vendors to designated areas
- Communicate with all parties
- Ensure that all vendors follow and comply with City of Englewood policies and procedures
- Document any emergencies during events
- Ensure venue cleanliness before and after events
- Takes direction from the events team to complete routine safety checks of the venue, equipment, buildings, vehicles, and the surrounding areas to maintain safety and health standards.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- RecTrac registration of vendors and processing payments.
- Performs other duties as assigned and required.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING
Education
- High School Diploma
Work Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of related event customer service or hospitality experience
Certifications and/or Licensures
- First Aid & CPR, AED (required within first 6 months)
- Required Driver’s License: Valid Colorado driver’s license and a clear or acceptable MVR
An equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant job experience may be substituted.

Knowledge
Working knowledge of:
- Ability to operate in a team environment

- Community recreation services
- POS System RecTrac preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Computer skills - Computer skills are required to work with Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Recreation Software.
- Communication Skills- Guest service skills are required to interact with guests and employees and handle problems and complaints. Must exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical Skills- Basic analytical skills required to troubleshoot and solve problems.
- Project Management Skills - Must possess the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or visual form.
- Mathematical Skills- Basic mathematical skills required to troubleshoot and manage payments.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The job will include some evening, weekend and holiday hours. Requires visual and physical capabilities to perform work in both an office and a fast-paced environment, including standing and walking for varied periods. Environmental setting with moderate noise. Occasional light lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
HOURLY RATE
$15.46 - $23.30/Hourly Rate
