POSITION SUMMARY
The Guest Services Lead assists in overseeing the Guest Services team at Pirates Cove. This position interacts with customers to provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving problems, directs customers to proper locations, provides information, communicates and enforces facility policies and procedures, checking in reservations, and assists the public in general. Controls facility admission, including collecting daily visits, I.D. verification, processing season pass sales, and dispensing photo I.D. cards. Communicates effectively with customers in person and over the telephone. Performs cash handling including operating a cash register drawer and compiling daily cash balances. May assist in quality control type responsibilities, which could include, but is not limited to verifying cash outs, running a variety of reports. Trains and mentors less experienced staff on duties and procedures and may provide functional supervision of guest services area. Must be willing to work weekdays, weekends and holidays. All final candidates must consent to a criminal background check.

- Communicates with guests in person, by telephone and emails.

Oversee the operations of the Cashier/Gate Keeper department.

Assures security with daily money handling.

Assists the Supervisor on Duty in the safe operation of the facility.

Assures a clean safe environment.

Assures the proper daily opening and closing of the facility department.

Assists in training of staff in their facility department.

Works closely with the POS Supervisor with the coordination of groups, rentals and birthday parties.

Performs weekly inventory on merchandise and reports to the POS Supervisor on Duty.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING
The Guest Services Lead must have worked a minimum of 1 year in the department he/she has applied for and has reached the age of 18 years old. The person must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service skills and a willingness to perform general maintenance duties. A combination of education and / or experience that has provided the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for excellent job performance.
