Position Summary
Are you ready for a summer full of excitement, creativity, and endless fun? The Englewood Recreation Division is looking for an energetic, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual to take charge as our Summer Camp Sr. Lead! If you love working with kids, have a passion for creating memorable experiences, and want to lead a team in a vibrant, high-energy environment, this is the job for you!
What You’ll Do
As the Summer Camp Sr. Lead, you’ll be one of the masterminds behind our unforgettable summer camp program for kids aged 5-13. You’ll help plan and organize a jam-packed schedule of fun, including games, arts and crafts, science experiments, swimming, field trips, and exciting special guests! You'll be in charge of ensuring the camp environment is fun, safe, and filled with positivity!
Your Daily Duties Will Include
- Designing and implementing creative, safe, and fun-filled schedules for the campers.
- Leading outdoor adventures, gym games, arts and crafts, and science projects.
- Ensuring that all activities meet human services licensing requirements and safety standards.
- Communicating effectively with parents, campers, and staff to make sure everyone has a blast!

Requirements
- CPR and First Aid Certification (can be obtained after starting).
- Passion for working with children and the ability to create a safe, engaging environment.
- A background check and three letters of reference verifying experience working with kids.
- One of the following qualifications:
- A 4-year degree in a related field.
- Two years of college training plus 6 months of relevant experience.
- Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in child care.
- Driver's License – you will be driving kids on field trips in a City vehicle, so a valid license and a clean driving record are a must!

Hourly Rate
$17.47 - $26.21/Hourly Range
Anticipated Hiring Rate - $21.00/Hourly
