POSITION SUMMARY
The Youth Program Supervisor on Duty oversees the daily operations of the children’s programs provided through the Englewood Recreation Division.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Creating and implementing Year-Round Youth Enrichment Programs
You’ll work alongside the Recreation Supervisor to develop and implement youth enrichment programming that encourages growth, creativity, and exploration for all participants in a variety of subjects.
Planning and Organizing Epic Adventures
You'll be the mastermind behind a creative and action-packed schedule of activities for kids during Out of School Time. Think outdoor play, gym games, arts & crafts, science projects, special events, swimming, and incentive programs that keep kids engaged and excited to participate!
Supervising & Leading a Team
You’ll lead and motivate a team of staff members, ensuring they are well-trained and ready to deliver fun, safe, and enriching experiences. You'll inspire your team to create an environment where both staff and kids thrive.
Ensuring Safety & Fun
As the Youth Program Supervisor on Duty, you’ll keep the fun going safely! You’ll ensure all activities are compliant with licensing and health safety requirements and maintain a secure environment for kids and staff.
Communicating with Parents & Staff
Your ability to connect with parents, children, and staff will ensure everyone is on the same page. You’ll be the friendly face that families trust to provide an exciting and safe experience for their kids.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- A 4-year degree in a related field, OR
- Two years of college training and 6 months of full-time or equivalent part-time experience (960 hours) in the care of children, OR
- Three years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in the care of children since the age of 18.
Certifications
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification (can be obtained within 30 days of start date).
- Required Driver’s License: Valid Colorado driver’s license and a clear or acceptable MVR
Background Check & References
- Must pass a background check and provide 3 letters of reference verifying experience working with children.

Driving Requirements: This position is required to drive a City motor vehicle / van to various City facilities and fieldtrips. Must possess a valid Driver License or can obtain upon hire and maintain an acceptable driving record.
PREPARATION AND TRAINING
Requires current First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Can be acquired within 30 Days of employment. 15 Hours of Annual Colorado Department of Human Services required Child Care training.
HOURLY RATE
$19.75 - $29.62/Hourly Rate
