SUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of Water Operations Superintendent or designee, employee shall read, inspect, observe and record meter information vital to the operations and coordination of utility services and billings. Gather and record data using a hand-held microcomputer device to provide information for utility billing or other related action.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent, AND minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field.
2. Must possess and maintain a valid New Mexico driver’s license and be insurable by City’s auto insurance provider.
- Required to have at time of hire OR obtain within six months of hire:
- New Mexico Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B or higher;
- Traffic Control Flagger Certification
- Must maintain certifications
- Must be able to obtain NMED Water Operator Level 1 within 16 months (one year and four months) of hire.
