A typical way to obtain the required qualifications would be: Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth (12th) grade supplemented with some education in police science.Some voluntary experience working with a law enforcement agency would be highly desirable. License: Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California driver's license.A Tscore of 48 or higher on the POST Entry-Level Law Enforcement Test Battery (PELLETB). A letter containing this passing Tscore must be attached to your application.College of the Redwoods offers the PELLETB exam every five (5) weeks on Saturdays at 9:00 a.m. The next testing date is scheduled for February 8th (eighth).
