Summer Camp Counselor (Teen Adventure Camp)

This position involves organizing and supervising teenagers (ages 12-15) in a summer day camp setting. Activities include arts and crafts, music and dance, sports and games, special events, field trips, and more. Cleaning and sanitizing duties are also required. Staff must be available to work for all six weeks of the camp, with counselors working 40 hours per week. Camp dates are from June 23 to August 1.

Plan and implement age appropriate activities to engage and entertain teen campers.

Foster a safe, inclusive environment that emphasizes teamwork, cooperation, and respect.

Assist with the setup and cleanup of daily activities, maintaining a clean and organized camp space.

Actively participate in all camp events, including dodgeball, field trips to water parks, theme days, bowling, movies, and more.

Collaborate with fellow counselors and camp staff to ensure a positive and enjoyable camp experience.

Provide regular updates to parents on camp activities and their child’s participation.

Must be at least 18 years old and have graduated from high school or equivalent.

Ability to create a positive and engaging environment for young teenagers.

Additional Desirable Qualification:

Previous experience in recreation programs, summer camps, or childcare is preferred.

All candidates must pass a background check.

Special Certifications and Licenses:

Tuberculosis (TB) screening is required for employment.

Mandatory training will take place from June 16th to June 20th.
