What are the responsibilities and job description for the Web Content Migration Intern position at City of Fairfax?
A web content Intern is an entry-level position aimed at individuals interested in web content design and management. This position will play key role in helping the City of Fairfax transition its current website to a new improved website.
The intern will work closely with the city’s web content manager and web application specialist, as well as collaborate with other team members to ensure content is transferred efficiently, meets quality standards, and aligns with the city’s digital strategy. The intern will learn about content strategy, audience analysis, and the technical aspects of online publishing, making it an great opportunity for those pursuing an interest in communications, web publishing, application support, or business management.
Participate in training on new website training.
Review content accuracy and uploads content to new website utilizing content management tool.
Other duties related to website design and content development as assigned by Web Application specialist.

Knowledge of HTML with the ability to make basic website updates using a content management system.
Understanding of search engine optimization best practices.

Highly organized and detail oriented.
Ability to work in a timely manner.
20-30 hours per week.Approximately 9 weeks.
