GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR - School Nursing Program promotes optimal health of the school population through nursing assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides first aid illness
- Administer medications and treatments
- Conducts health screening and referral programs
- Carry out communicable disease control activities
- Promote safety
- Maintain accurate health records
- Provide health education and health counseling to individuals and or groups
- Participation on Planning and Placement Team, Student Assistance Team and other Interdisciplinary Teams
- Home visits
- Overseeing of School Health Aides, Nursing Students and or volunteers
- Communicates with community recourses as needed
- Develop and implement Individual Health Care Plans for students with special needs
- Other related duties and Public Health programs as assigned
Qualifications
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Nurse with BSN OR Associates Degree with at least 15 academic credits in requires areas of study
- Must have 1 year of Nursing experience within the last 5 years
- 3 days per week, 21 hours
