What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Summer Workers Conservation position at City of Fairfield, CT?

- Clearing fallen trees
- Repainting trail blazes
- Trail maintenance
- Mowing/weed whacking
- Making and installing wood signs for Town open spaces
- Boardwalk installation/repair
- Planting trees/shrubs
- Removing invasive plant species
- Erosion control projects on trails
- Trash removal
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Town open spaces/trails is a plus
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be capable of working outdoors with and without direct supervision in all weather conditions
- Experience with hand tools, mowing, basic carpentry, planting and yard work/brush clearing is desired
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Workers must be 18 years old
- Must have a valid driver’s license
SCHEDULE
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm
PAY RANGE
- $19/hour
