What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Recreation Leader - Assistant Instructor for Preschool Programs position at City of Fairfield (OH)?
City of Fairfield Parks and Recreation Department is looking for a talented and passionate instructor / teacher to assist in our Preschool Programs; ‘PreSMARTIES’ (ages 3-4) and ‘SMARTIES’ (ages 4-6) at the Fairfield Community Arts Center.
PreSMARTIES are in class Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. (September 2 through May 14). SMARTIES are in class Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 1-3 p.m. (September 2 through May 14).
Preschool Assistant will be responsible for the following:
- Assist in the planning and delivery of appropriate lessons under the direction of the Arts & Education Programmer.
- Safety of all participants.
- Creating supply lists and managing inventory.
- Set-up and clean-up of teaching space.
- Assist with program recruitment.
- All necessary reporting.
Teaching experience in some capacity is strongly preferred.
Must possess effective oral and written communications skills.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Salary : $15 - $17
