ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Process requisitions submitted by Police Department personnel for equipment, uniforms, general supplies and other related items; coordinate uniform fittings and equipment issuance to new officers; issue uniforms, equipment and supplies to department personnel; oversee turn-ins and maintain inventory of clothing, equipment and supplies.
- Maintain adequate inventory of supplies and equipment to ensure efficient operations.
- Maintain purchase records for department, including individual files; work with budget staff to monitor expenditures.
- Maintain Police Department forms; issue general orders and operating procedures; maintain related inventory and update entries into the computer.
- Provide staff support to the Police Department including serving as backup for other positions as requested.
- Move office equipment, files, and other items within the department as needed.
- Coordinate activities with other internal departments or external agencies.
- Collect and maintain the state traffic citation books for control and accountability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Experience:
Three years of increasingly responsible experience in supply or materials management or related work.
Training:
Equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is subject to pre-employment polygraph and/or CVSA testing.
From the time of closing, the selection process is anticipated to last approximately 4 - 6 weeks. The process will consist of a panel interview and skills testing to include, but not limited to: Keyboarding, MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook with the selected candidate being subject to a pre-employment drug screen, background investigation, driving history check and a polygraph and/or CVSA testing to be conducted by the Police Department.
