About the Role:
Under the general direction of the Community Media Services Assistant Manager, this position is responsible for production of government meetings, off-site production work, and editing of productions in preparation for broadcasting.
This position will remain open until filled.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Pre-production for government meetings including adding graphics, room setup, and switcher setup.
- Film government meetings.
- Post production of government meetings including trimming of productions and upload for broadcast.
- Off-site production work and filming off site meetings.
- Other post production work including editing productions and prepping productions for broadcast.
Other Functions:
- Assist public with equipment loans and keep records of loaned equipment.
- Assist with event coverage, filming news stories, and other assigned projects.
- Assist with editing productions not related to meeting coverage.
- General office duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
- Associates degree or certificate in audio/video production, communications, or a related field is desired.
- Experience in television production, audio/video editing, communications, or a related field may substitute for educational requirements.
- Experience filming with an actual video camera.
- Experience with video editing software.
Licenses, Certifications, etc.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of Fitchburg and/or community television is a plus.
- Knowledge of video production including filming, editing, and graphic design.
- Ability to maintain adequate attendance.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City elected and appointed officials, employees, and the general public.
- Ability to work with culturally diverse individuals and groups.
- Ability to attend meetings and other functions during the evening and/or on weekends.
