What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Technician position at City of Florence?

High school diploma or GED required- Experience with animal handling and restraint, animal health, and behavior
- Successful completion of Euthanasia Certification course required upon hire
- Valid South Carolina driver's license
The Clinical Technician is responsible for the day-to-day direct care of all shelter animals as well as maintaining the animal clinics. Work includes, but is not limited to, maintaining animal records, cleaning cages and equipment, administering medications, training designated staff members to administer medications, preforming intake examinations on animals, and performing designated diagnostic tests. The Clinical Technician works under the supervision of the Animal Shelter Supervisor.
