What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Camp Counselor 2025 position at City of Florissant?
Description
Rate: $14.50 hourly
Status: Seasonal
- 17 years of age or older/*16 years of age if prior volunteer junior counselor and letter(s) of recommendation
- Minimum of 30 hours per week
- High school senior or college student preferred
- Ability to follow orders, maintain records
- Knowledge of rules of sports and games
- Must have knowledge in areas of cultural arts
- Must attend Metro Day Camp Orientation & in house Orientation
- Efficiently perform the directions from all supervisors
- If Special Needs Leader: Provide 1 on 1 care for special needs camper and may be required to rotate with various special needs between both camp locations with both inside & outside work required
- Vacations and school trips are not considered a valid excuse for missing work, so consider this if you want to accept this position
- MUST PASS POLICE RECORD CHECK
- NOTES: All hours and schedules may be subject to change based on City and/or department needs
