Under direct or general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, all of these part-time positions assist in all aquatic programs, classes, and activities at City of Folsom run facilities (Steve Miklos Aquatic Center, Vista del Lago High School pool), while providing excellent customer service.

Under direct or general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor, the Lifeguard / Swim Instructor will position assist in all aquatic programs, classes, and activities at City of Folsom run facilities (Steve Miklos Aquatic Center, Vista del Lago High School pool), while providing excellent customer service.

Schedule & Pay

• Hours range from 5am - 11pm, 7 days per week
• Additional hours may be assigned as needed for outreach activities, training, and other misc. department activities.
• Hourly pay rate will depend on the candidate's experience.
• Duration : position is ongoing as long as needed and supported by the budget. Part-time positions are hourly and not eligible for benefits, and are limited to working 999 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30). No full-time regular appointment will be made from this class.

None required, however individuals with lifeguard experience is desirable.

Other Qualifications

P hysical Requirements

Frequent sitting, standing, walking, kneeling, bending, stooping, and crouching. Work is performed outdoors year-round. Must be able to work in extreme heat and cold temperatures for an extended period of time.

Other Requirements

These positions will be scheduled as needed. Candidates may be asked to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Schedule is limited to no more than 999 hours per fiscal year. Temporary, hourly positions are not eligible for benefits.
