Summary : This posting is a dual advertisement filling positions as Maintenance Helpers and Parts Runners within the Fleet Services. The Maintenance Helper, Fleet cleans andmaintains building appearance. Deliverspool cars and shifts City vehicles. The Parts Runner is responsible for the pick-up and delivery of parts, supplies, and vehicles for Fleet Services, also cleaning and re-stock the parts room and fuel island.
This is an hourly position that will work a maximum of 29 hours / week.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Educationand Experience :
High school diploma or GED; one to two yearsrelated experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance; or equivalentcombination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such assafety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and proceduremanuals. Ability to write routinereports and correspondence. Ability tospeak and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing withsupervisors, coworkers, customers and citizens.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, ordiagram form.
