The Parks Downtown Maintenance Worker is a job where you’ll be working outdoors in the downtown urban corridor helping to maintain cleanliness, interacting with the public, and learning horticultural as well as green industry standards, landscaping techniques and irrigation practices. You’ll perform a variety of duties including simple mechanical/construction work, pruning, mulching, weeding, and planting, which are practical and in demand career skills.

- Assist with infrastructure and grounds maintenance of City parks and downtown public spaces.
- Operate (after provided training) a variety of equipment including utility vehicles, hand tools, and power tools.
- Clean and remove waste from all areas of the downtown corridor.
- Empty and clean wastebaskets and trash containers, ash trays and cigarette urns.
- Collect recycling materials.
- Clean and pressure wash downtown sidewalks and public spaces.
- Assist with irrigation maintenance and repairs.

- Perform event prep and clean-up.

Working Conditions:
- Position is a non-benefitted seasonal/temporary hourly position.
